 Christian Education

We hold Sunday school on every Sunday between Labor Day weekend and Memorial Day Weekend. You are welcome to join us! (Please note: there will be no Sunday school on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.)

Come find out what’s new in our Sunday morning programs!

10 AM Classes: During the 10 a.m. hour, nursery care is available. The Youth and Adult classes will meet during this hour.

Nursery and Preschool - Nursery care is available beginning at 10:00 on Sunday mornings. Nursery and preschool children may go directly to the nursery to check in when arriving. We request that a parent or guardian always drop off and pick up these students.

Youth Sunday School (Grades 6-12)

The Youth Sunday School class will be meeting on the first and third Sundays during the 10 a.m. hour in the small classroom on the second floor of the education building. Students will be participating in a Comparative Religions course and therefore will also be meeting once a month for an off-site visit. Diana Esposito, Lacey McIntire, and Georgette Champagnie will be teaching this class. For those students who are interested in youth group, a grades 6-12 youth group will meet on the second Sunday of the month. A calendar of all youth related events available upon request.

Adult Class

The adult class will resume in the Fall on Sunday mornings, and will be led by Paula Engard-Ellis. Anyone is welcome to join us for any and all classes.

Children's Church on Sundays: During the church worship hour, Nursery, Preschool and Elementary Sunday school classes will meet.

Nursery and Preschool

Sunday school will be offered for nursery and preschool students during the church hour. Nursery and preschool children may go directly to the nursery to check in when arriving, or children may begin the morning in church with their families and sign-in to the nursery after the children's sermon. Children who were in the nursery during the 10 a.m. do not need to be picked up in between the hours. We request that a parent or guardian always drop off and pick up these students.

Elementary (Grades K - 5)

Children will begin the morning in church with their families, gather for the children's sermon, then go to their classroom with a teacher.  This year we are combining grade levels in a "one room school" format using the same Grow, Proclaim, Serve curriculum as the previous two years.  The class will be taught by both a volunteer lead teacher and a volunteer assistant.  Lead teachers will serve in rotation for two months at a time.  The assistants will rotate weekly.  Teen helpers will assist in the class as well.  The classroom is on the second floor, and children will return to the Wesley room (first floor) for dismissal.  Please meet your children promptly after the service. Keep your eyes open for information on the new Grades K-5 Youth Group that will meet monthly for one hour.

Director of Christian Education: We are seeking a new Director of Christian Education effective immediately. More details about the position can be found on the Jobs page of this website.
